How does the program work?
First, download the Natural Gas Appliance Checklist. If your
residence has and uses all 3 of the gas appliances shown on the top
of the list, plus any one of the appliances of the bottom, you have
already qualified for the Residential Volume User Rate (RVUR).
Call your nearest Fort Hill office and we will send a
representative to verify that your residence has met these
requirements. Upon inspection, you will be put on the lower rate,
effective with your next billing cycle.
Act now and start saving!
If you don't presently have the right combination of appliances
to qualify, why not think about installing them. They will more
than pay for themselves in energy savings over the years...AND
DON'T FORGET that by acting now you can earn generous rebates, too!
Any questions about RVUR or the rebate offers? Just call your local
Fort Hill office.
Why is Fort Hill offering these lower rates?
As with many products, when you purchase in greater volume, you
often obtain a lower price...And rewarding you for a larger
purchase is one reason that we have worked for many months to
develop the RVUR plan.
But there is a "seasonal" reason for the lower rate, too. That's
because Natural Gas (for heating) is obviously used more in the
winter months. But when you, as a Fort Hill customer, use gas
appliances for purposes other than heating, you help us to spread
the use of natural gas more evenly throughout the year.
This enables us to use our facilities more efficiently and that
produces savings. The new RVUR is our way of passing those savings
on to you, and saying, "thanks" for using Natural Gas in so many
different ways.
