HOW?
First, look at the
Natual Gas Appliance Checklist. If your residence has and uses all
3 of the gas appliances shown on the left-hand side of the list,
plus any one of the appliances of the right, you have already
qualified for the Residential Volume User Rate (RVUR).
Just call your
nearest Fort Hill office and we'll send a "rep" to verify that your
residence has met these requirements. Upon verification, you will
be put on the lower rate, effective with your next meter reading.
This means that you will see a savings of 6% on all the Natural Gas you use!
CAN YOU QUALIFY FOR
RVUR IF YOU DON'T MEET ALL THE APPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS RIGHT
NOW?
Absolutely, and we
hope you will! In fact, Fort Hill already has two exciting
money-saving rebate offers to help you with the costs of converting
from an electric water heater and/or an electric clothes dryer to
Natural Gas versions of these appliances.
SAVE $225
FOR A START!
The rebate for
installing a new gas water heater to replace your present electric
water heater is $150, and you can earn another $75 rebate by
replacing your electric dryer with a gas dryer. (Ask about our free
gas water heater option at our appliance/installation
department)
And that's just the
beginning of the savings you'll make year after year because
Natural Gas, especially when you qualify for the new Residential
Volume User Rate, costs so much less than electricity.
WHY FORT
HILL CAN OFFER YOU THESE LOWER RATES?
As with many
products, when you purchase in greater volume, you often obtain a
lower price...And rewarding you for a larger purchase is one reason
that we have worked for many months to develop the RVUR
plan.
But there is a
"seasonal" reason for the lower rate, too. That's because Natural
Gas (for heating) is obviously used more in the winter months. But
when you, as a Fort Hill customer, use gas appliances for purposes
other than heating, you help us to spread the use of natural gas
more evenly throughout the year.
This enables us to
use our facilities more efficiently and that produces savings. The
new RVUR is our way of passing those savings on to you, and saying,
"thanks" for using Natural Gas in so many different
ways.
ACT NOW AND
START SAVING!
If you already have
all the natural gas appliances to qualify for RVUR just call your
nearest Fort Hill office and arrange for verification.
If you don't
presently have the right combination of appliances to qualify, why
not think about installing them. They will more than pay for
themselves in energy savings over the years...AND DON'T FORGET that
by acting now you can earn generous rebates, too!

RVUR OR THE REBATE OFFERS? Just call your local Fort Hill office.
*Gas cost comparisons on these pages use our base rate
of .65331 per therm. To the extent that gas costs exceed the amount
included in our base rate, the excess gas costs should be added to
the base rate for comparative purposes.
