As required by state law, it is the responsibility of anyone performing excavation, digging, boring, or other types of work to notify Palmetto Utility Protection System (P.U.P.S.) at least 72 hours before starting work. Fort Hill or our contractor will call P.U.P.S. at 1-888-721-7877 to notify other utility companies. (Note: The locating and marking of privately owned utilities such as water lines, sprinkler systems, septic systems, satellite systems, etc. are the responsibility of the property owner. These cannot be located by calling P.U.P.S.) The owner is responsible for ensuring that all privately owned underground utility lines are accurately located and marked.
